DESCRIPTION:NOTIFICATION OF POLE WORKS IN THE VICINITY OF YOUR PROPERTY\nDear Resident/Business\,\nThis letter is to advise you that Connetics will be in your area as part of our project to remove pillar and install a new one as part of Wellington Electricity’s maintenance program.\nWork will occur outside 21 Rimu Street and is scheduled to commence anytime from 10/08/2026 to 31/08/2026 between the hours of 9am and 3pm and 9pm to 5am.\nThese dates and times allow for any unforeseen delays as due to the nature of our work there are occasions where we may run unexpectedly over time as our work is highly hazardous and weather\ndependent.\nNoise at night will be keep to the minimum to complete work During this work\, traffic management will be in place appropriate for the site to protect road users\, public and workers safety\, with full approval gained from the Road Corridor Manager at your Local Council. DESCRIPTION:HSE Annual General Meeting\, Sunday 23 August 2026 at 2pm\, in the East Harbour Women’s Club rooms\, 145 Muritai Road\nWe’re delighted to announce that our guest speaker at the AGM will be Charlotte Macdonald\, Emerita Professor of History at Victoria University of Wellington. Her illustrated presentation will be based on her award- winning book\, Garrison World: Redcoat Soldiers in New Zealand and across the British Empire\, published in 2025.\nThe book explores the lives of imperial troops and their families stationed in New Zealand between 1840 and 1870. It examines the crucial role the troops played in the imposition of imperial rule and the development of settler society\, and the consequences for Māori communities.\nCharlotte’s presentation will start at around 2.40pm\, and be followed by afternoon tea. Please feel free to bring a friend (or two). Entry is free to members\, but we do ask non-members for a donation to help cover costs.
