If you are a new member\, please also email your contact details to info@miro.org.nz. \nOur Guest Speaker — Lindsay Wilson\, Hollyford Conservation Trust \n“Conservation successes and challenges in New Zealand and the Pacific” \nLindsay will talk about some of the highs and lows of a lifetime protecting and restoring indigenous biodiversity\, with a focus on programmes he has managed in Te Urewera\, Campbell Island and Fiordland. \nLindsay was employed as a biodiversity manager for the Department of Conservation for more than 25 years. Career highlights included responsibility for species and ecosystem recovery within Fiordland National Park and Te Urewera\, island pest eradications including assisting with rat eradication on Campbell Island\, landscape-scale predator control and assisting our Pacific neighbours with conservation advice and support. Growing conservation by forging partnerships with community and business has been a particular passion. \nLindsay is currently the Manager of the Hollyford Conservation Trust – a community project restoring 12\,000 ha of diverse forest\, wetlands and dune systems at Martins Bay in the Hollyford Valley\, Fiordland. \nIntending to come along?
