DESCRIPTION:Non recyclable rubbish\nYour rubbish bin / ipupara \nThis is your wheelie bin with the red lid\, and it’s just for rubbish. \nWhen green waste goes to landfill it creates methane\, a greenhouse gas much more potent than carbon dioxide.\nInstead of putting it in your red bin\, consider composting or using our green waste collection.\nDid you know? I get collected weekly. \n  \n  \nPaper & plastics\nYour recycling bin with the yellow lid / ipu hangarua \nThis is your wheelie bin with the yellow lid\, and it’s just for rubbish. \nI get collected on yellow weeks. When incorrect items end up in the wrong bin\, they contaminate the recycling / ipu hangarua\, which can mean the whole truckload ends up going to landfill. That’s why we need to make sure the only thing that goes in our yellow bins is the stuff that’s too good to waste. \n  \nWhat can be put in the Yellow bin? \nYES \n\nPaper and cardboard\nTins and cans\nPlastic containers marked with these symbols\, often embossed on bottom of item\nPlastic symbols 1\,2\,5\n\nNO \n\nGlass\nBatteries\nNappies\nDrink cartons / Tetrapak\nPolystyrene\, clothes hangers and toys\nSoft plastics\, cling film and strapping\n\nNote: Many of these non recyclable materials can be recycled through other channels – some options are listed here.

SUMMARY:Port Road Drags (rescheduled)
DESCRIPTION:Due to horrific weather in November we are planning to run our event on March 12 2023 \, hoping we have a clear day.It is a requirement for us to advise our intentions for a one day event located at Port Road Seaview Lower Hutt this coming March .We are working hard with the HCC and is our intentions to bring as little disruptions to the area during this time. With huge interest in this event we endeavour to bring a first class event to the Wellington Region.Sunday 12 March  2023 7am to 6pm.Noise complaints\, reports of dangerous driving or any other illegal activities outside our road closure hours and cordon (during the event)  should be reported to the HCC Noise control or/and the Police. We are aware of recent and regular activity in the area\, this has nothing to do with our event. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or queries. I will do my best to answer ASAP.RegardsSTEVE REID (JOCK) |  PARTS MANAGER45 PERCY CAMERON STREET\,AVALON\,LOWER HUTT\,WELLINGTON.NEW ZEALANDJOCK@CENTRALGROUP.CO.NZ
