Sorry for late reminder - it's been an interesting week with the Eastbourne Volunteer Fire Brigade 100th on Saturday, and a meeting with the Point Howard community and various HCC agencies, Wellington Water, FENZ, Wellington Free Ambulance and ECB present. Basically Point Howard residents access is going to be significantly disrupted by work to reinstate the collapsed road, and then replacement of the water mains - it's a salutary example of how vulnerable our suburbs are. Good luck to Point Howard!

With dry, strong NW winds forecast fire risk will also be heightened, I'm meeting Paul Carline from FENZ (Fire & Emergency) to discuss this and also the proposed community event next year.

FYI - I also manage the website https://eastbourne.nz/ and the electronic notice board in the library - if you have information you'd like to see on either of these please let me know. I have got pages for each bay which have no content - the obvious addition would be information about the bay's emergency resources, plan and contacts etc. so please send anything through.
