Kia ora Eastbourne

This is just a quick update, and a reminder that the date for appealing the abolition of the community boards closes 12 October if you were thinking of acting. The Community Board will continue for the next year regardless, providing support where and when we can, and you can contact any board member with any ideas or concerns you may have. Information on the representation review, the appeal process, and contacting the board are available on the Eastbourne.nz website which was created to promote and inform our community.

Leading the way in sustainable business transformation

Business is being reinvented at a pace never seen before. What do business leaders need to consider to be relevant in the fourth industrial revolution?

Future State is a series of high-impact business briefings led by innovators at world-changing companies. The insights from these influential figures are now accessible on the Spark Business Lab website, designed to support leaders and businesses in Aotearoa on their path to sustained success.

GovGTP

The pilot is aimed at small business support so could be worth a look - goes for public testing 16 October.

Currently, GovGPT is in a closed pilot phase, trained on specific, publicly available data from selected government websites. Its primary focus is to help businesses quickly find information about government products and services. The next step is to make it accessible for businesses and organisations through our Callaghan Innovation Labs webpage, as a digital front door for government websites. https://www.callaghaninnovation.govt.nz/stories/new-govgpt-demo-video-released/

Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce

Just a reminder that the HVCC is a valuable resource to keep in touch with. Even if you are not a member there are still benefits in staying informed, and many events that are free or low cost to non-members, often in conjunction with other agencies. https://hvchamber.org.nz/

The Eastbourne Business Group also has a Facebook page where information can be posted and questions and comments made. We occasionally post information we think may be of value to the local business community, such as announcements, meetings and presentations from HCC and the Hutt Chamber of Commerce. This is also a way for the business community to communicate with each other.

Community contacts, events and information are also available is also available on our website eastbourne.nz , in the Eastbourne Herald (printed copies at the library, or onine), on the ECB digital noticeboard (also in the library) and our Facebook page.
