We have discovered some damage to Marine Drive between Tamaru Ave and the Whiorau Reserve Entrance. Part of the road has been undermined and due to safety concerns, and to allow our contractors to work on this immediately, we will be implementing a lane closure from 5pm tonight, Tuesday 3 February, until the works are completed.
One lane will be closed for the duration of the works, with monitored traffic lights controlling traffic.
The closure is expected to be in place for at least 2 nights, or as long as needed to ensure the safety of the road.
