Charting a new course together

As Hutt City Council starts work on the draft Long Term Plan 2027–2037, hearing what matters to you will help elected members in their decision-making process. Like households, Council is facing rising costs. At the same time, we need to keep rates affordable and continue providing the services and facilities our communities value. That means some important choices lie ahead. What should Council keep in mind if things need to change, and where could we do things differently?

Fill out a survey at a neighbourhood hub or online. Are there practical ways that services or facilities could be provided differently? Early engagement closes 15 October 2026. There will be another opportunity to have your say during consultation on the draft Long Term Plan 2027–2037 in April 2027.
