Next meeting to plan for action in 2023
Eastern Bays Climate Resonse Network
Eastern Bays Climate Network Meeting
Wednesday 1st March 7.00-9.00pm
St Ronan’s 234 Muritai Rd Eastbourne

Agenda

Guest speaker Eugene Doyle of Owhiro Bay who has formed the group 4C - Coastal Communities and Climate Change - bringing together multiple residents associations, mana whenua, government and councils and scientists to accelerate the preparations for what is coming their way.
Like us Eugene thinks that "Communities are actually stepping up and saying government's responding too slowly, cities [are] responding too slowly, regions [are] responding too slowly. We need to get cracking on this".

"One of the key themes for us is nothing for us, without us."

Group reports – things are getting cracking though it might seem quite slowly!

Where to now? The cyclone has focused all our minds. Think about what you would like to know? How can we prepare our community to such major events? What do we need to do?

AND ALWAYS – how Eastbourners can reduce our own emissions??

You can forward this to someone if they would like to  join the Eastern Bays Climate Response Network and/or subscribe to the email updates
