Update from Hutt City Council
Marine Drive Update: road now reopened
Marine Drive is now open with limited access to residents of Eastbourne. Contractors are currently assisting vehicles from Days Bay through Marine Drive.
Due to the poor weather conditions, please exercise extreme care when driving through the area.
 Contractors are also working at entrance to Taungata Rd, actioning repairs to two damaged streetlight poles. Please approach this area with caution.
We will reassess at 6.30am whether the road will need to close again  for approximately 4 hours (being 2 hours either side of high tide at 8.40am).
We encourage you to prepare plans if the road is closed for that time.
