Kayak Safety Workshop

in memory of Jack Skellett, 1998-2021

After the success of the first two workshops there will be another FREE kayak safety workshop held in Days Bay on Thursday 21st December 2023, open to all. This will be a comprehensive, 1 day event covering every aspect of water kayaking safety, with a strong focus on theory and building awareness, plus practical and skills development. This workshop is being held in memory of Jack Skellett (pictured), who sadly lost his life in a kayaking incident in Wellington harbour in December 2021. With thanks to Days Bay Pavilion, the Jack Skellett Give A Little Fund and the Skellett family for their help in organising this event for the community.
