Access to Ōkiwinui Eastbourne can be by car, bus, ferry, bicycle or even walking.
Bus and ferry services are provided by Metlink.
Buses run between Wellington through either Petone or Petone (81, 84, 85*) and Queensgate – Lower Hutt CBD (83). The 81 route has a fairly frequent service during commuter hours, while the 83 service runs approximately hourly off peak and weekends.
Ferry runs between Queens Wharf and Days Bay. Schedule is more frequent during commuter hours. Ferry also calls in at Matiu – Somes Island on some trips.
