Very sadly we are cancelling the first two performances of The Nerd on Thursday (10th) and Friday (11th) this week because of cast illness. Our opening night will be this Saturday, 12 July. We are adding an extra performance at 7:30pm on Wednesday 16 July – tickets on sale through Humanitix. Those who have tickets for Thursday or Friday this week will have received an email about rebooking.
Our next production – The Nerd, by Larry Shue – is now cast and in rehearsal.
The production will be in the Muritai School Hall at 7:30pm on July 12, 16, 17, 18, 19

Set in the mid-Western, mid-sized city of Terre Haute, Indiana, Willum’s architectural career is ticking along nicely. When he has a surprise phone call and hears that he will finally meet the man (Rick Steadman) who anonymously saved his life in Viet Nam, he is thrilled. His positive outlook quickly turns sour when he discovers that Rick is a hopeless nerd, devoid of any social and emotional intelligence. And when Rick moves in with him without being invited, his life turns upside-down and all he can focus on is how to make him leave, and soon!
