Every organisation or school that registers goes in the draw to win a Civil Defence wheelie bin. Bins will be delivered and stocked with a range of helpful emergency items to help keep people safe during an emergency.
Individuals and families will go in the draw to win a personal grab bag. Bags will be delivered and stocked with items to keep you safe during an emergency.
Before the drill
- Know your tsunami evacuation zone. Make plans for a tsunami hīkoi if you are in a coastal area.
- Learn about the earthquake and tsunami risk in your area and other parts of New Zealand.
- Download and share our ShakeOut posters and resources. Remind yourself and others what to do in an earthquake and tsunami.
