Final day to volunteer for Summer Pool supervision

Eastbourne Pool Marine Parade, Eastborne, Lower Hutt

We urgently need more volunteers to train as lifeguards for our Summer Pool – and the final day to sign up is Monday, 19 January. So far, three amazing community members have stepped up and completed their training. We are incredibly grateful – but it’s not enough. Without additional volunteers, Eastbourne Pool will be forced to close in mid-February. Keeping the pool open for the full season is critical. It allows our school and swim club to complete their swimming programmes, ensuring our children can build confidence and safety in the water – something that matters to all of us as a coastal community. https://eastbourne.nz/2026/01/14/last-chance-to-keep-our-pool-open-for-the-full-season/
