He estimates he owns about 90% of the 370 known postcards of the eastern bays. Several years ago he gave a talk to our members on the subject, and mentioned that he’d like to do a book about Eastbourne postcards, so I offered to help with the local history content. Sunshine Road explores the journey of self-discovery, the courage of self-acceptance, and the transformative power of embracing your inner knowing of who you can become. Sunshine Road developed from a handful of short stories written twenty years ago. Catherine Manchester grew up in Eastbourne, studied English Literature at Victoria and Fine Arts at Otago Polytechnic.
