Everyone is welcome to the Community Board Meeting to be held in the Eastbourne Community Hub/Library on Tuesday 14 April 2026 commencing at 7:15 pm. A public forum is available 30 minutes before the meeting (6:45pm to 7:15pm) - this is not public comment (see below), but an opportunity for informal discussion. Major works have wrapped up in the intertidal area, and with this milestone met and works almost complete, we're now turning our focus to celebrating the completion of this significant infrastructure project. A blessing to mark completion of the shared path and seawall is set for Saturday 18 April. This will be followed by a community celebration, where we will be encouraging everyone to get out and explore the whole path on foot, and by bike or scooter. It’s that time of year again, so mark your calendar! Our next Eastbourne beach clean-up is scheduled for Sunday, April 19th. We’ll be set up at the usual place - the picnic table just before Burdan’s Gate - from 9:00 until noon. All welcome, for any length of time. Even half an hour makes a big difference. Anzac Day is usually commemorated by the Eastbourne Community at the war memorial adjacent to Muritai School, followed by refreshments at the Eastbourne Sports and Services Club.
