Winding up a busy 12 months, the Historical Society's end-of-year event will be held on Sunday 3rd December, 2 pm at the East Harbour Women's Club rooms, 145 Muritai Road, Eastbourne. Our guest speaker is Bob Maysmor, who grew up in Eastbourne and whose career has included: Director of the Dowse Art Museum; Senior Curator at Pataka Art + Museum; and author of a number of books on art, history and biography. The Eastbourne Lions Christmas Market is a non-profit, community-run venture, organised by volunteers. Any surplus goes back into the organisation and promotion of further markets and donations to community projects as selected by the Market Committee. The next Eastbourne Market is being held at Muritai School, Eastbourne, Sunday December 17th.
