Surf Life Saving New Zealand assessment of Days Bay beach.

Welleseley College 611A Marine Drive, Days Bay, Lower Hutt, New Zealand

Surf Life Saving New Zealand are in the process of conducting an assessment of Days Bay beach. The assessment looks at what can be done to make Days Bay safer for beach goers particularly in the summer months. As part of the process of this assessment they want to meet with locals who are willing to contribute their ideas, views on local risks, or ideas of how improvements to safety could be made. If you are interested in attending the meeting is going to be held at Wellesley College, Monday 12th December 7pm

Burdan’s Gate beach cleanup

Our next Burdan’s Gate and southwards beach clean will be on Sunday, April 16th, from 9:00-12:00. I suspect there’s a decent amount of rubbish along the coastline after multiple storms and lots of people out along the beaches this summer. Meet at Burdan's Gate  (past bike shed/cottage). Gloves and rubbish bags provided. You can walk or bike, and leave your rubbish bag on the road side for later collection if you wish. Hope to see you there, you can click the button below to add this to your calendar ;-)
