Eastern Bays

This event has been cancelled as were are not enough issues to warrant the effort and cost. Individual bays will be contacted and any issues raised will be dealt with individually. Thank you. ECB On Saturday 2 March, the Community Board will have its annual trip through Eastbourne and the Bays, visiting Resident Associations and residents. As usual, we plan to travel (by van) south from Point Howard, spending 20-30 minutes in each bay or area to discuss any issues residents would like to bring to our attention. These are generally broader issues or concerns not otherwise managed through the Council's Report a Problem service.A

Eastern Bays Resilience Expo

This will be an expo day focussing on all aspects of community resilience covering Reduction (mitigation), Readiness (preparation), Response (action) and Recovery. Here’s the agenda for next Tuesday’s Eastbourne Community Board meeting at 7.15pm, 11 February at the East Harbour Women’s Club. Everyone is welcome. Come along and hear updates from: • Mayor Barry • Council about the residents' satisfaction survey, the Tupua Hro Nuku project, Council's sustainable growth strategy, and its low carbon acceleration fund • Greater Wellington Regional Council. Eastbourne Community Board Walk Around

The walk-around is an annual event that sees ECB members and a Council officer visit each of the Eastern Bays in turn to discuss any issues and concerns. Issues are logged with Council and the ECB follows up on progress. We plan to start at Point Howard at 9am and move south, spending 20-30 minutes in each bay at an agreed location. Please leave this date free. We'll be in touch with more information closer to the time.

Eastbourne & The Bays Youth Forum

Are you 11 - 19 years old? Have you got ideas about what this will look like? When? Monday 28 July Eastbourne Library 5:30 - 7pm Food provided. This will be an info evening to explore establishing our own Youth Forum in Eastbourne and the Bays. The Eastbourne Youth Forum is a youth-led initiative for young people to have a voice, lead solutions, and connect with our community. This concept aims to foster a more cohesive and connected Eastbourne community. It will be a youth-led space, supported by the ECB, where young people can: Voice their needs and interests Engage with the community and Foster Community
