    Targeted Weed Control: CL Bishop Park Bird Protection Area

    Contractors will be returning to the dunes in front of CL Bishop Park in July 2025 for another round of targeted weed control to ensure the continued success of the native plants that support dune restoration and the Bird Protection Area. Weather permitting, the work is scheduled to commence from Monday 28 July 2025. For further details, please refer to the following page. About the CL Bishop Bird Protection Area As part of the consent conditions for the Tupua Horo Nuku project, Bird Protection areas must be established at Whiorau Reserve, CL Bishop Park, and HW Shortt Park. It's as much work (or as little) as you want to make it, and our primary responsibility is to represent the community to council.
