  • Speed Change to 50 kph for Eastern Bays

    Following consultation with the Eastern Bays community earlier this year, from 1 October there will be a reduction in the speed limit along Marine Parade between Whiorau Lowry Bay and Sunshine Bay, from 70km/h to 50km/h. This will improve safety for all road users, including those walking and cycling, while maintaining a consistent speed limit along the Eastern Bays waterfront. Our guest speaker is Bob Maysmor, who grew up in Eastbourne and whose career has included: Director of the Dowse Art Museum; Senior Curator at Pataka Art + Museum; and author of a number of books on art, history and biography. Bob will talk about growing up in Eastbourne. Afternoon tea to follow. All welcome; free to members, a gold coin donation for guests.
