  • Eastbourne Community Board meeting

    Everyone is welcome to the Community Board Meeting to be held in the East Harbour Women’s Club, 145 Muritai Road, Eastbourne, Lower Hutt on Tuesday 2 December 2025 commencing at 7:15 pm. A public forum is available 30 minutes before the meeting (6:45pm to 7:15pm) - this is not public comment (see below), but an opportunity for informal discussion. The public cannot ask questions during the actual meeting, other than during public comment. Our new Mayor Ken Laban and some HCC Councillors will also be present. If you wish to use the public speaking spot to talk for up to 3 minutes about any community

Bring the family along and hear from our wonderful Project Ecologist, Josh, who will share what’s been achieved so far and how you can take a hands-on role in protecting and restoring our taiao.   • Community Patrol for Eastbourne / Bays?

    An initial information evening to discuss and explore what a Community Patrol could look like in Eastbourne has been set up for next Weds 1st July at 7.30 pm at O'Malleys.   • Community Patrol Meeting

Merv Theobold (Petone Community Patrol) and a representative from the Lower Hutt Police will be available to talk to those parties who have already expressed interest (plus anyone else who is interested) about setting up a Community Patrol (Merv) and to provide us with guidance on crime prevention (NZ Police representative).
