    The weather is gate crashing our celebration! The weather isn't looking too flash for Saturday - so the decision is to postpone the public informal part of the day until Sunday 19 April (next day). Same places, same time (10am-2pm), same fun - just hopefully better weather. The official proceedings (blessing and opening) will still go ahead from 6am at Whiorau Reserve on Saturday 18th April. Sunday - Get your bikes tuned up, lace up your walking shoes, and prepare to explore the completed 4.4km path with us! We have fun things planned for your whānau around the Eastern Bays.     An initial information evening to discuss and explore what a Community Patrol could look like in Eastbourne has been set up for next Weds 1st July at 7.30 pm at O'Malleys.   • Community Patrol Meeting

Merv Theobold (Petone Community Patrol) and a representative from the Lower Hutt Police will be available to talk to those parties who have already expressed interest (plus anyone else who is interested) about setting up a Community Patrol (Merv) and to provide us with guidance on crime prevention (NZ Police representative).
