We know sport, recreation and play are highly valued by our community, and that’s why every year significant rates funding goes into providing fields, hard surfaces and facilities.  At the same time, we know the sports community is under pressure from increasing costs, decreasing funding and in some cases, low or declining participation.  Council also faces financial challenges.
