Registrations for Icebergs are now open – please make sure to sign up so we can get enough numbers for it to run! He estimates he owns about 90% of the 370 known postcards of the eastern bays. Several years ago he gave a talk to our members on the subject, and mentioned that he’d like to do a book about Eastbourne postcards, so I offered to help with the local history content. Burdan's GateIt’s that time of year again, so mark your calendar! Our next Eastbourne beach clean-up is scheduled for Sunday, November 23rd. We’ll be set up at the usual place - the picnic table just before Burdan’s Gate - from 9:00 until noon. All welcome, for any length of time. Even half an hour makes a big difference. Eastbourne Wharf to Wharf Swim 2026
Days Bay beach 611 Marine Drive, Days Bay, New ZealandThe Eastbourne Wharf-to-Wharf swim will be next held on Sunday 1st March 2026. The Wharf-to-Wharf swim has become an Eastbourne institution that has been running for over 100 years. This fun, non-competitive friendly swim event is run by the Muritai Yacht Club and volunteers for the benefit of the Eastbourne community. The course begins on Days Bay beach and finishes next to the Rona Bay wharf in Eastbourne.
