Penguin Dog Avoidance Training

While your dog may not attack a Penguin, just approaching a penguin while it is travelling between the sea and its nest, or sniffing around the nesting area can result in the penguin abandoning its nest. This training is designed to significantly decrease the likelihood that your dog would approach penguins or go near their nests. The Trainer Willy Marsh will be the trainer. Willy has extensive experience conducting Kiwi Dog Avoidance Training throughout New Zealand. He has also conducted Penguin Avoidance Training. Butterfly creek picnic area will be closed 18-20th September - Whilst tree felling at the Kowhai/ Mackenzie track junction is being undertaken park users should wait at the barrier to be guided through the work site. Hi Eastbourne community board and stake holders After assessing the Safety and Health of trees at Butterfly creek picnic area in 2023 Greater Wellington Regional council has undertaken an annual inspection to reassess the situation.
