The Eastbourne Lions Christmas Market is a non-profit, community-run venture, organised by volunteers. Any surplus goes back into the organisation and promotion of further markets and donations to community projects as selected by the Market Committee. The next Eastbourne Market is being held at Muritai School, Eastbourne, Sunday December 17th. This is a great opportunity to sell your quality crafts, art, jewellery, food and other beautiful products in time for Christmas. Meet the candidates for the upcoming local body elections. This election you will be voting for the mayor, 5 city-wide candidates, and 3 regional council candidates. Our Harbour Ward councillor Tui Lewis has already been decided (uncontested), and our Community Board is also decided as we only had the required 5 candidates nominated, meaning no contest is required. This election will also feature 2 referendums. To retain the new Maori Ward (binding - this will affect the next election in 2028, not this one).
