Eastern Bays Community Resilience Expo - Muritai School, 24 March, 10am to 3pm.

The Eastern Bays Community Resilience Expo was a great success but had a lower  turnout than we hoped for. We hope to change that.

If you attended, or even if you didn’t – we would like to hear from you.

Please complete the following form as much as you can, we want your opinions and ideas on where to go next and what to next time. Thank you!
If you want a reminder, the Expo details are here.

If you are interested in details, a report on organising the event is available , and also my analysis of what to do in future (both are shared Google docs).

The Survey

We're keen to know what works (and what doesn't) - if you have ideas tell us in the comments section. If you didn't know it was on, how can we let you know?
We want to know if this was a good idea, what you enjoyed (or not), what you expected / would like to see, and any other ideas about such an event.
Your thoughts on being prepared for a minor disruption where the Bays are cut off from one or more services (access via road and/or sea, water, power, internet, mobile phone services ...) for a day or more?
Your thoughts on being prepared for a major event such as earthquake, tsunami or a major storm? How could we prepare/ what should we do?
Your thoughts on what we can do to respond to climate change, including mitigation and adaption?
Any groups who could pass on information to their members, and check in with them when a a situation arises? Include a contact if possible.
Any groups who can provide support, facilities, or have have skills and equipment to support a community response. I.e. the water distribution response relies on utility vehicles capable of transporting 1000 litre water bladders to distribution sites. Include a contact if possible.
Anything else?
If you wish to be contacted, discuss anything further, or be involved in some way - let us know.
